From the A1 travelling North
The A1 exit at Wetherby has now been permanently closed (many Route Planners have not yet been updated for the closure).
To access the A661 towards Harrogate, it is now necessary to exit the A1 at the A659 junction and travel north towards Wetherby on the new link road that runs parallel to the A1. At Ramada Jarvis Hotel roundabout, take the exit signposted Harrogate.
Immediately after crossing the River Wharfe, turn left at the mini roundabout signposted Harrogate. Continue to proceed through Wetherby on the A661.
Go through the village of Spofforth, bearing right at the Castle pub. At the next roundabout go straight ahead, passing the Kestrel pub on the left.
Go straight ahead at the first traffic lights with Sainsbury's on the left. At the next lights, go straight ahead with the Woodlands pub on the left and a BP garage on the right.
The Wetherby Road ground is 300 yards on the right.
From the A1 travelling South
Turn off the A1(M) at junction 47. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A59 in the direction of Knaresborough.
Go straight over the next 2 roundabouts (A658 signposted Bradford & Harrogate). At the next roundabout turn right (3rd exit) onto the A661 signposted Harrogate, passing the Kestrel pub on the left.
Go straight ahead at the first traffic lights with Sainsbury's on the left. At the next lights, go straight ahead in the middle lane with the Woodlands pub on the left and a BP garage on the right.
The Wetherby Road ground is 300 yards on the right.
From Leeds/Bradford on the A61
At the roundabout where the A61 (from Leeds) intersects with the A658 (from Bradford), take the A658 signposted Knareborough/York. At the next roundabout turn left (1st exit) onto the A661 signposted Harrogate, passing the Kestrel pub on the left.
Go straight ahead at the first traffic lights with Sainsbury's on the left. At the next lights, go straight ahead in the middle lane with the Woodlands pub on the left and a BP garage on the right.
The Wetherby Road ground is 300 yards on the right.
From Skipton/Lancashire on the A59
On entering Harrogate at the roundabout where the A59 intersects with A61, go straight ahead staying on the A59.
Go up the hill, passing New Park School on the right. At the top of the hill pass St Joseph's church on the right, and keep going straight ahead first passing the Skipton pub on the left and then the fire station on the right.
On approaching a large roundabout, take the middle lane and go straight ahead onto the A661 signposted Wetherby. Go past the hospital on the left.
The Wetherby Road ground is on the left.
Parking
Parking at the ground is limited. There is a small car park at the Hospital End of the ground accessed from Lancaster Park Road, but this fills up very quickly. Pay parking is available in the hospital car park on Willaston Crescent. Please do not park on the grass verges in streets around the ground - you are likely to receive a parking ticket.
By Train
Trains run to Harrogate from the mainline stations at Leeds and York. For details see www.nationalrail.co.uk.
The nearest station to the ground is Starbeck. Exit the station and turn right. Walk up the hill towards Harrogate. At Lancaster Park Road turn left and go past the hospital. At the end of Lancaster Park Road turn left on to Wetherby Road and the ground is on the left.
Alternatively, taxis and buses are available from Harrogate station. There is a taxi rank opposite the station, whilst the bus station is to the right when exiting through the train station ticket hall. Buses on the 770 route depart from stand 9 at the bus station and go past the Wetherby Road ground (for timetable see www.harrogateanddistrict.co.uk).
