1914: Harrogate AFC formed

1920: Wetherby Lane Ground purchased

1920: Founder members of the Yorkshire League

1921: Joined Midland League

1922: Returned to Yorkshire League

1925: West Riding County Cup Winners

1927: Yorkshire League Champions and West Riding County Cup Winners

1931: Joined Northern League

1932: Club wound up & Wetherby Lane ground sold to Harrogate Corporation

1935: Re-formed as Harrogate Hotspurs and originally played on the Stray

1946: Joined West Yorkshire League and returned to Wetherby Road

1948: Club renamed as Harrogate Town

1950: Wetherby Road record attendance of 4,280 for Whitworth Cup match against Harrogate Railway Athletic

1957: Joined Yorkshire League Division 2

1961: Promoted to Yorkshire League Division 1

1963: West Riding County Cup winners

1967: Relegated to Yorkshire League Division 2

1970: Relegated to Yorkshire League Division 3

1972: Returned to Yorkshire League Division 2

1973: West Riding County Cup Winners

1978: Relegated to Yorkshire League Division 3

1981: Promoted to Yorkshire League Division 2

1982: Yorkshire League Division 2 Champions

1982: Floodlights installed at Wetherby Road

1982: Founder members of Northern Counties East League

1986: Promoted to Northern Counties East Premier Division and West Riding County Cup winners

1987: Founder members Northern Premier League Division One

1990: North Premier League Division One Cup Winners

2002: Northern Premier League Division One Champions. Promoted to Premier Division. West Riding County Cup winners. First appearance in FA Cup First Round proper

2003: West Riding County Cup winners

2004: Founder members of the Conference North Football League

2005: Reached FA Cup First Round proper
