The UniBond League have today released fixtures for the 2003/2004 season. Town's campaign starts with an away match for the 4th consecutive season on Saturday 16 August. The opponents will be FA Trophy winners Burscough. 3 days later there is a North Yorkshire derby against Whitby Town at Wetherby Road.

Ex-Town striker Glen Robson appears to have left Blyth Spartans, and has joined Northern League outfit Durham City. Staying in the North East, Gary Lormor was appointed as manager of Washington Nissan at the start of June, but quit after only a week! Lormor replaced another Town Old Boy, Gavin Liddle.
